History
John F. Goetz founded J. F. Goetz & Associates following a distinguished 25-year career as a Special Agent in The U.S. Justice Department, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (ATF) and 15 years as a private sector Fire Investigator. The company is comprised of retired ATF Special Agent-Certified Fire Investigators and former City and County Fire Marshals.
Experience
Our associates have investigated major fire and explosion incidents in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and Delaware for the past 35 years and have each provided Expert Testimony in Federal, State and Municipal Jurisdictions throughout the region. Whether investigating a fire at a single-family dwelling or directing a major large loss, each of our investigators possesses the background, training, and experience to manage all aspects of the fire/explosion scene investigation. In addition to having served as members of International and National Response Teams and County and Municipal Joint Task Forces, our team has investigated some of the largest, most complex fire and explosion incidents in the region for the insurance industry as private sector investigators.
Our team has provided fire and explosion investigation instruction to most public sector fire service and law enforcement agencies in the Northeast United States, as well as at the National level, through ATF sponsored courses relative to every aspect of fire and explosion scene investigation. Our employees have also provided instruction to the insurance industry in the areas of arson/fraud, interviewing techniques and courtroom testimony.
